I was not planning of going zip linning on Wednesday April 6,2022. I was out driving and kept seeing the signs for zip linning. I followed them and pulled in the lot. I could not have had a more welcome if any one tried. They convinced me to do the zip line. I must say it was the best time I have had in a long time. They made me feel like family. I will never forget this day, Mark I am sorry I forgot to break at the end. Once again thank you and next time I come down I hope to see you guys. I WOULD SAY IF YOU ARE IN THE AREA THIS IS A MUST TO DO!!!😀

Micheal and I had the most adventurous, fun and safe experience for our first time ever ziplining. Our guides Tyler and Greg were outstanding. They were professional, knowledgeable, safe and most of all funny. Take your next day trip to Hungry Mother Adventure. Trust us, you won’t be disappointed. 5 stars

Me, my wife and a couple of freinds visited Hungry Mother Adventures on September 27th for the 11am tour. The zip lines were great! The arrangement of the lines were such that very little strenuous climbing was required. I have been on zip lines from North Carolina to Arizona and this ranks right up there with the best. The guides were great fun, well trained, professional and very helpful. My wife and I are avid "zippers" and we hope to return again durring the fall foliage peak in October.

I am scared of heights, but was able to do this. The guides were amazing, they used humor to make me feel at ease, they were very personable and confident in what they do, you can tell they love their job! Highly recommend this zip line adventure! On a scale of 1-10, I give this a 12!

This was amazing! I've been ziplining in Puerto Rico and Las Vegas and these lines were definitely the BEST! The guides were awesome and very knowledgeable. This is a MUST do when in the area!

Such an amazing place! Went zip lining on Thursday and tubing on Friday. The staff is beyond amazing!!!!! Very Veteran friendly. Dennis really goes above and beyond to support our veterans. The zip lining experience was great! The little ones did the mini zip line and they loved it! The older kids did the bigger zip line and had an awesome time. The staff was great with the kids! After we were done zip lining we went back to the outpost for lunch for their amazing hotdogs. Went tubing on Friday and it was beautiful!! Dennis even checked on us at one point to make sure everything was going ok and if we needed anything. Definitely recommend this place if you are in or near Marion, VA!

It was our 1st Ziplining adventure! I was in town visiting my cousins and we chose ZIPLINING as our memorable and adventurous challenge. Our lead instructors were amazing, they actually comforted our fears with laughter and jokes. they were very knowledgeable and fun

It was our first time for our family and it was Awesome! Our guides made it so much fun! I would highly recommend doing this! We were visiting from Florida and will come to Virginia to do this again! Loved it!

What an awesome experience! Guides Zach and Greg are the best! I was scared from the start... but their fun and relaxed instruction had me relaxed after the first line! Our first zip lining experience, wont be our last for sure!! 5+ stars!!

 Verified We had a FANTASTIC time with Greg & Tyler at Hungry Mother Outdoor Adventures. We chose the "mini" course because my 10-year old son was nervous to go on the main course for his first zip lining experience. Greg & Tyler were very patient with us and made the whole experience just great fun. We come up to stay at the cabins at Hungry Mother State Park every year and we will definitely be going on the main line next time!  Verified This is a grass roots operation and I love that! Owned and operated by military veteran buddies! My mother in law is 72 and she loves zip lining. When she came to visit for a few days from Texas I said I would take her zip lining. The crew was incredibly helpful with her because there is a little bit of uphill and downhill hiking to each zip line. They also gave very clear instructions on how to use the hand brake system (neither one of us had used it before). The demonstration and practice session was helpful. We both had an awesome time.  Verified AMAZING PLACE!! Our family had such a good time. Such great views as you go along the zip lines. Make sure as you head there to use their address, do not stop at the shop on the way that says zip line. They'll try to steer you away, even though this place is very much open and ready!  Verified Although I went in November and it was freezing they made sure to make my experience amazing. Very non traditional which makes it even that more fun. Very helpful customer service and all around a comfortable environment considering this was my first time ever zip lining and I will definitely be doing it again and recommending all my friends and family to experience zip lining with hungry mother adventures as well. I'm afraid of heights, but the guys were amazing, they laughed me thru it which made it easier.  We did all five runs and had a blast. We plan on coming back with our grown children.  Verified I was very disappointed in the hospitality and inappropriateness of the guides. I brought 3 of my friends and we are all around 20 years old and the two male guides (Tyler and Mark) were constantly making inappropriate jokes to us and made the situation very uncomfortable. My friends were also very nervous about zip lining and they kept making comments on how you could die from this and were just very negative. One of my friends leaned back too early on the FIRST line, she was nervous and didn't want to forget to do it, and the guide (Mark) yelled at her for "not listening". Mark then made comments to us insinuating that we were stupid and it was completely uncalled for. Tyler (the other guide) kept talking about how he used to bring a gun on tours, which made the situation even more uncomfortable. I could not believe the way that the guides were acting towards us and I am very glad there was another couple on the tour, because who knows what would have happened.The zip lining is fun, Hungry Mother Adventures just needs to re-evaluate their guides.I am embarrassed that this is now the impression that my friends from New York and Richmond have on the hospitality of my hometown.

 Verified I was visiting from out of state and booked a zip tour online. My friend and I had a great time. The guides had us laughing and feeling very comfortable. They take safety seriously and we had a ton of fun. We had Daniel and Zach as our guides. We really enjoyed them. You go down 5 zip lines and each one is a little different.  We will be going back in the future and taking more friends and family with us.

I booked my zip line adventure over a week in advance. Once the experience was a few days away, the weather was looking questionable. Tyler reached out to offer the chance to reschedule. The adventure was truly amazing. Five zip lines of varying lengths/speeds with beautiful views made for a great time. Tyler was a great guide and extremely knowledgeable. We had a great time. The guides were very safety focused. I was very anxious and they worked with me to make sure I was comfortable. I had a great time and completed all 5 lines. These are very high lines and the view is amazing. This is nothing like zip lining in Florida where we are from!There is a little walking involved at an incline, but if you can go up a flight of stairs you’ll be alright. My wife and I decided to celebrate our anniversary by trying out this zip lining site which was only 1.5 hours from where we live.  Our guides were Mark and Greg and they were funny and helpful and made the outing for us.  We had been waiting for another party of 6 and another party of 4 to show up, but they ended up not coming, so it was just the two of us and the two guides.  Talk about personalized attention!  The zip lining start area is at the top of the mountain and part of the adventure is taking that 4-wheeler up the trail to the top!  The views were beautiful and we had a great time. Wow!  Is the best way to describe my experience.  I’m afraid of heights so was pretty apprehensive about the whole thing.  They guides were great.  They kept making me laugh and letting me know it was ok to be nervous.  They had me go first so that I didn’t watch others and then try to anticipate my experience.  It worked perfectly.
